Description
There’s a growing community that loves the M-Audio Venom synthesizer but don’t really enjoy how it looks and they convert it into a desktop version. I’m one of those fans! But there’s a little problem: the keyboard itself is used to select LOCAL mode and MIDI Out. Without the keyboard, you need a PC to select these functions. Basically, this circuit is a keyboard with the second G# and A# keys and optionally can have a third key.
With this small PCB, you can connect it directly to the velocity board with no soldering and it simulates the keys of the non existent keyboard! The PCB can also be populated with one more button to select a specific MIDI channel. This uses special two step switches, just like a keyboard with velocity.
The velocity board is not included, it is shown to understand how it connects! Only the PCB in picture 1 and 2 is included. It also includes PCB spacers, screws and nuts.
