Arturia
Founded in 1999, Arturia is a manufacturer of electronic musical instruments from France.
Arturia is often criticized for the lack of after sales service and the construction quality. Personally, I have all their soft synths (iPad included), some MIDI controllers, Spark and Origin Desktop. I love them all. And their customer service has been great so far. I am drooling about their latest offer, the MatrixBrute.

Arturia Origin Encoder

The magnificent Arturia Origin had some quality issues with the rotary encoders. Specially the "Big Knob" that suffers from a lot of use. Originally Arturia Origin was made using Soundwell encoders, but the quality wasn't good enough and they will eventually stop working (I bought mine very cheap because of the big knob not working).

Arturia later changed to a better source for the rotary encoders (Bourns) and these are the ones that I am selling. They are 24 steps with detent and switch. Actually, the Origin uses 5 of these encoders (all the white "select" knobs and the big knob) but usually the big one fails first. I can also get you the other ones (no switch, no detent/no switch) but I never had to replace any.

Replacing this part requires some skills. If you're not used to desolder double face PCBs you should contact a professional that will do it easily. The difficult part is to find these encoders. As a Origin owner and synths collector, I advise you to keep one of these units in stock even if your is still working.
